Episode 2: Acid Mixes From Rusuden

Fresh off his European tour (with Ceephax Acid Crew, Line47 and X&Trick), Lexington, Kentucky's Rusuden was kind enough to put together a guest mix for Electronicons. He brings us an exclusive collection of new and old tracks remixed with plenty of acid flavoring.
I don't know too much about Kentucky. I was there once driving through on my way to Tennessee. My one single memory of Kentucky was getting more chicken strips than what I paid for at a KFC. Now that I think about it, I might not have ever been through Kentucky, maybe it was West Virginia...
The point is, all I knew were the stereotypes: Good chicken, mint juleps, horses, Bond villians planning daring robberies of Fort Knox, etc.
I first heard "Thoth Breath" from the very brutal Crimson compilation on Terminal Dusk and it stood out from the rest of the tracks. I started playing it on Electronicons, don't know if he had heard or not, but I received an e-mail from Rusuden complimenting my playlists. A couple months later, I heard his live set from Zurich on the Terminal Dusk website, it was unlike the tracks I had heard by him, plenty of acid techno to go around...clearly I did not know about Kentucky. I soon decided this was an artist I wanted on my podcast.
Luckily, he was nice enough to come along for the ride and after a couple weeks of e-mail exchanges and talking about computers and ableton templates, Electronicons is proud to present Rusuden as the first of (hopefully) numerous artists that will be contributing exclusive mixes for the show. There's great electronic music in Kentucky, Rusuden is proof.
Rusuden has recorded for SonicTerror, Terminal Dusk and Soho Six. Make sure you pick up his latest album, "Warm Human Antennae".
